This group did discuss the unique nature of radioisotopes that allows nuclear medicine to exist and be effective. They explained that when radioisotopes are used to fight cancer, a pathogen that has a radioisotope attached to it is injected into the affected region. They clearly explained that a radioisotope has an unstable nucleus that slowly gives off energy as it decays, and that that energy is used to destroy cancerous cells.
The only pro that was brought up was that nuclear medicine can be used to fight cancer. They did not discuss any other diseases that it may treat, nor did they discuss any cons. Therefore, because they only showed the positive side of nuclear medicine, the pro argument was the most convincing.

While the video itself was funny and informative, I felt that there was not an argument for or against nuclear medicine. The video addressed the nature of the radioisotope, how they work, and what they do. Yet as I previously stated, there was no definitive statement of an argument.

The group did explain the unique nature of radioisotopes that allows the technology of nuclear medicine to exist. They explained the difference between radioisotopes and regular isotopes, stating that radioisotopes are unstable. The group explained that when radioisotopes are used to treat cancer, a pathogen is attached to a radioisotope and is injected into the cancerous region. The energy given off by radioisotopes is used to treat cancer. This group explained that nuclear technology can be used to battle cancer. This was their sole argument in defense of nuclear medicine, as they listed no other illnesses that could be cured by nuclear medicine. There was no argument in prosecution of nuclear medicine, and therefore, the argument in support of using nuclear medicine was more convincing to me.

This group did not clearly state what a radioisotope is, but they did address how it is used in nuclear medicine. The for argument was mostly addressed in this video saying how medicine can be used to fight cancer and destroy cancer cells. There wasn't a very strong prosecution against nuclear medicine. I feel the defense of nuclear medicine was much stronger and made much more sense.

This group explained nuclear medicine well. They also explained the role of radioisotopes clearly and in detail.
However they did not describe arguments for and against nuclear medicine, except that it can be used to fight cancer. From the argument stated, the defense makes sense to me.

This group did address the unique nature of a radioisotope that allows nuclear medicine to exist.
The defense was that the nuclear medicine is used to fight cancer. The decay of the unstable nucleus gives off energy that can destroy cancerous cells.
There was no prosection really.
I would have to agree with the defense in this case where it would be great to try and cure cancer. 567342

This group didn't thoroughly explain the use of a radioisotope in nuclear medicine since some of it is unclear.
It did explain the pros of nuclear medicine, since it is used to fight off cancer, but it doesn't really explain the cons of this method.
Without the cons of this, it is hard to show which side of the argument is better.

The group shows a good representation of what nuclear medicine does. It fully explains what a radioisotope and gives a creative idea on how it works in the body. It was interesting to see the certain interactions with the different cells and how cancer was treated. There was no argument against the use of radioisotopes but the positive effects were persuasive and clear.

This video was very funny but I did not see or hear anything that said pros and cons of nuclear medicine. They talked about what a radioisotope was- it has an unstable nuclus and gives off energy as it decays. They said how a radio isotope attaches to destroy cancer cells. They also said how the procedure was done, the doctor injected the medicine into the throid with patogens attched with isotopes. I learned what a radio isotope was because I didn't previously know this, and I also learned how the medicine works how the pathogen attaches to the cancer cell.

I believe that the group did discuss the unique nature of radioisotopes to exist. They explained nuckear medicine is used to help fight off cancer by injecting it into the human body.
However, I did not hear any strong cases in the video that explains the positive and negative characteristics of nuclear medicine.
While the group did a good job giving a definition of how nuclear medicine works, I am still unsure of the positive and negative effects of nuclear medicine. - 628770

Although this video gave information in great detail about how nuclear medicine works. I didn't see the difference in opinions. They didn't explain in any way how nuclear medicine could be negative. However, they did explain what radioactive isotopes were. Therefore, I have to side in favor of nuclear medicine because, based on the video there aren't any problems occurring from it. It simply cures cancer.
