This group did not address the unique nature of a radioisotope that allows this particular energy to exist. The prosecution stated that nuclear weapons would cause massive destruction and death in the short term and in the long term would result in infertility, birth defects, and fallout. The defene states that the weapons serve as a deterant of war from other countries and caould be used to quickly end a war and save lives, such as in World War II. I agree with the prosecution becuase its arguments make the most sense to me.

This group didn't address the unique nature of a radioisotope that allows this particular technology to exist. The defense argued that nuclear weapons were important for a country to possess to have a one-up on other nations. They argued that nuclear weapons provide for security of the nation and ensure that the nation is not vulnerable to attack. They claimed that without the use of the atomic bomb in World War II, many more lives would have been lost and the fighting would have continued for many years. The prosecution argued that negative effects of atomic weapons include hair loss, diarrhea, birth defects, leukemia, infertility, cataracts, nausea, and many deaths. In the future, people will be harmed from these effects as well as the present. After an atomic explosion, the land is left barren which is harmful for food and agriculture, and the land is unsafe to return to. Fall outs occur when radioactive weapons are tested leaves harmful radioactive isotopes including uranium and plutonium in the atmosphere. The prosecution's claims make the most sense to me because atomic weapons are so dangerous to human health. 304540

I think that this group didn't really address the unique nature of a radioisotope that allows nuclear weapons to exist, but it did present the defense and prosecution in an organized manner. Some arguments used for the defense of nuclear weapons were that the U.S will have a one up on countries in times of peace, and wars can be ended quickly by the use of these weapons. However, the prosecution said that death and destruction of land can occur when the weapons are used. Also, nuclear weapon use results in hair loss, loss of blood cells, birth defects and nuclear fallout could occur. I agree with the prosecution because there are more serious effects when nuclear weapons are used. 496040

In my opinion, the group did address the unique nature of radioisotopes that allow this energy to exist, such as uranium and plutonium. The prosecution stated that the usage of nuclear weapons cause horrific destruction and death, as well as having long term effects such as leukemia, hair loss, infertility, and birth defects. The defense stated that such weapons could be very vital in saving lives and ending wars. I agree with the prosecution because of the horrible effects that are caused by this weapon. 734980

This group did not adress the unique nature of the radioisotopes that allows this particular energy to exist. The prosecution vaguely explained that nuclear weapons may cause massive destruction of the world as we know it, but before that occurs the radiation can cause infertility and birth defects in babies. But the defense contradicted thir argument very thoroughly, stating that it is important for nations to have nuclear weapons as a source of power over others. What I really liked about the defenses argument is that they used World War II as an example and without the use of nuclear weapons the war would have turned out much different than we know it today. Although I personally do not agree with the use of nuclear weapons, I believe the defense made stronger points. 375740

This group did not not address the unique nature of a radioisope that allows this particular energy to exist. The defense argued that nuclear weapons allow war to end quickly and ensure that the nation is not vulnerable to attack. The defense also argues that the wars might not end which would result in many more lives being lost. The prosecution states that nuclear weapons has tons of effects, long term and short term, such as hair loss, vomitting, birth defects, infertility, and deaths. I agree with the prosecution because the arguments made the most sense to me and there are many horrible effects to nuclear weapons.

The group did not address the unique nature of the radioisotope which allows nuclear weapons to exist. the defense stated that world war one would have lasted much longer if nuclear weapons didn't exist. Also the US would be an easy target if we gave up our weapons. The prosecution said that there is too many long term effects from nuclear weapons. I would agree with the dense because their argument make more sense. -472840
